Adams Street Station gets new name, look, and concept as tailgating and event venue
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The River City Railway, formerly known as Adams Street Station, is the launch of a redesigned tailgating and event venue in the Sports Complex. Airstream Ventures has been hired by the ownership group to reimagine the area and build more gameday and event revenue.
The 25-car facility, all privately owned, has a long history in the Sports Complex, coming into creation in time for Super Bowl XXXIX.
“This is a tremendous partnership for our company as it has been under the radar in our community for quite a while,” said Alan Verlander, CEO of Airstream Ventures. “The reimagining of this space will not only give organizations and groups a unique tailgating experience, but it will be a new place in our city to host small to medium events all throughout the year. We are excited to get this partnership started and look forward to creating memorable moments for all of our clients and current owners in the future.”
The rail cars are currently available for rent to tailgate prior to Jaguar games whether fans are attending the game or desiring the create a watch party. Rentals include all you can eat and drink for 16 people for $995 for each Jaguars home game or $70 for individual tickets. Packages for Florida-Georgia weekend and the Gator Bowl will be announced soon. All proper COVID measures will be exercised to ensure the safety of all fans.
Each of the cars has a unique feel and theme, with the most recognizable ones being a Florida and Georgia themed car - decked out with furniture of each school’s colors as well as memorabilia recognizing legendary players and moments in program history.
